Telford Junior School pupil Nancy Ford tries out Roman writing at Priory House in Warwick.

Pupils at Telford Junior School in Leamington stepped back almost 2,000 years in time as they got to grips with the Roman way of life at Priory House in Warwick.

The children examined real Roman artefacts, prepared typically British Roman food by using a mortarium for grinding, created tesserae pictures, wrote their name using the Roman alphabet and dressed up in Roman tunics and togas. Pictured is Nancy Ford trying out Roman writing.
