Strike action tomorrow (Thursday) will have an impact on leisure centres and customer services, Warwick District Council has said.

The Sports and leisure centres at Castle Farm in Kenilworth, Newbold Comyn in Leamington and The Meadows Community Sports Centre at Kenilworth School will be closed while Abbey Fields swimming pool will be open until 6pm.

St Nicholas Park in Warwick and the John Atkinson Sports Centre at Myton School will be open as normal.

Leamington town hall, The Spa Centre and Leamington Art Gallery and Museum will also be open as normal.

Customers may experience an increase in response times for environmental health, housing services and customer services.

A picket line will be formed by Warwick Unison trade union members outside Riverside House in Milverton Hill, Leamington, from 7.30am to 2pm.

The action is taking place as a result of public sector unions’ rejection of the public sector pay award for 2014-15.
