Advice on how to cope with huge changes planned with the expected HS2 line has been released by the council.
The document, Living with the Line, is now out to make clear Warwickshire’s expectations if the project goes ahead.
The blueprint sets out the county’s requirements and aims to positively influence the final design and mitigation of the high speed rail scheme to get the best deal for residents.
Sara Boad, Warwickshire County Council’s project manager said: “While we oppose the construction of HS2, we have to accept that there are plans to build it which appear to be going ahead and we have to start planning now to mitigate the effects of building the line.”
Councillors voted unanimously to continue to fight for a better deal under the current plans.
