All 4,000 places for this year’s Two Castles Run from Warwick to Kenilworth were taken within six hours - a new record time.

Bob Kelly, press officer for organisers Kenilworth Rotary Club, said the on-line entry registration went live at 8.00 am on Saturday. “All the places had gone by 2.00 pm, beating last year’s previous record time of 19 hours. There is also a waiting list of some 250 runners.”

Richard Thornton, joint senior partner at Blythe Liggins solicitors, who are sponsoring

the event for the ninth year, said: “This was a fantastic effort. There has been such an explosion of interest in this event over recent years and this record time of six hours reflects that. Kenilworth Rotary Club has done an amazing job yet again.”
