East Midlands Ambulance Service is undergoing a shake-up in a bid to improve response times

 

Two men were injured in a road traffic collision on the Fosse Way at Three Gates near Moreton Morrell on Saturday.

The incident, in which a BMW and a Ford Fiesta had collided, took place at about 1.35pm.

Two 19-year-old men were in the Fiesta with the passenger having to be cut free by firefighters.

He was suffering from back pain and was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and a neck collar.

The driver was out of the vehicle when the ambulance arrived.

Both men were taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

The driver of the BMW, a manin his 50s, was assessed and discharged at the scene.
