UPDATE: Man arrested after motorcyclist dies in Wootton Wawen crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist died following a collision with a car in Wootton Wawen on Monday evening (April 25).

The collision happened at about 8.45pm on the A3400 Stratford Road and involved a silver Ford Fiesta and an orange Kawasaki motorbike.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the scene shortly after 8.30pm. Two ambulances, a paramedic area support officer and a BASICS emergency doctor attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Ambulance staff arrived to find a motorcycle which had been involved in a collision with a car. The motorcyclist, a man, was in traumatic cardiac arrest. The medic and ambulance staff worked as a team to deliver advanced life support on the man.

“Sadly, the motorcyclist couldn’t be revived and he was confirmed dead on scene.”

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or who saw either of the vehicles, and the manner in which they were being driven, before the collision occurred.
