Have your say

Construction trainees at Warwickshire College have been getting hands-on experience of the trade during the multi-million pound refurbishment project at the Leamington centre.

Building contractor Seller Metcalfe and course leaders have been taking students on regular tours of the site. Trainees are able to assess the progression of work on site and learn about key trade skills including plumbing, electrics and carpentry.Five apprentices have also been taken on by the contractor for the duration of the work. Works to the college site include a major refurbishment to the main building to provide new classrooms, science labs and facilities for courses such as Hair & Beauty, as well as a new airport style entrance to create more fluid movement at peak times.
