Witness appeal after fatal Leamington road crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was killed in a road collision on Old Warwick Road on Saturday.

Officers were called to the road just outside Morrisons supermarket just after 8.40pm when a black Audi S4 estate hit a teenage pedestrian.

The 15-year-old boy was rushed to Warwick Hospital with serious injuries.

He was later transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where he died from his injuries in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The road was closed to traffic in both directions following the evening crash.

A police spokesperson said they were calling for anyone who could help with information “following a serious RTC on the Old Warwick Road in Leamington next to Morrisons” to come forward.

Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the vehicle or the boy before the collision happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 369 of 6 February.
