Big meet up for Tweetup

editorial image

SMARTPHONES and laptop computers were in abundance at the launch of a social networking initiative in Leamington.

WarwickTweetup, a group which has brought together businesses and individuals in Warwick via the Twitter website, held a free workshop at the Episode Hotel in Upper Holly Walk last week.

The event was fully booked within two days of it being advertised and 80 people attended.

Graham Todd, of WarwickTweetup, said: “These are challenging times for businesses, and Twitter is a free and very effective way of improving your company profile.

“The main aim of the workshop was to get the businesses of Leamington excited about Twitter, and I think we’ve done that.”

The next Tweetup event will take place at the hotel on Tuesday October 16.
