Breaking news: body confirmed as missing Warwick man Brian Reading
THE identity of the man who was found dead in Warwick on Tuesday morning has been confirmed as Brian Reading.
Mr Reading, of Cape Road, Warwick, had been reported missing on July 22, the day after his 43rd birthday.
His body was found by a member of the public in trees on a remote piece of land adjoining Warwick Racecourse.
Police had carried out widespread searches for Mr Reading over the past two months, and had been assisted by the support of his friends and relatives who had appealed for information about his whereabouts.
A post mortem examination has shown that Mr Reading died as a result of hanging.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Confirmation of his identity was made using dental records.
The coroner has been informed and an inquest has been opened and adjourned until a later date.
Det Insp Liam Barry, who led the investigation, has thanked the many members of the public who helped in providing information, and the members of the media who helped to publicise that Mr Reading was missing.
