Church reduces its carbon footprint
St John's Church Kenilworth has been presented with a certificate to mark their success in reducing carbon emissions.
The certificate of achievement was presented by Rev Greg Smith the co-ordinator of the Coventry Diocesan Environment Group to the church that has made the most progress over the last twelve months.

The presentation marked the first anniversary of a project designed to reduce the carbon footprint of church buildings and individual members.
Eight churches have participated in a pilot project to reduce energy consumption and carbon pollution, including churches from Coventry and Bedworth, besides Kenilworth.
Greg Smith said: "The difference switching to low energy light bulbs or encouraging worshippers to walk to church is surprising.
"It's about everybody doing their bit. This is God's world and we have a choice as to whether we care for it responsibly or are indifferent to
its plight."
Church schools in Coventry and Warwickshire are also being encouraged to make links between faith and care for the environment.
Coventry Diocesan Environment Group has been working in conjunction with the Coventry Multi-Faith Forum to promote this project.
It will culminate with a display at a headteachers' Conference at Ardencote Manor in October, when schools will demonstrate how they have made this link in their work and acts of collective worship.
