Five accused of Lapworth burglary and other incidents
FIVE men are due to appear at Warwick Crown Court today in connection with up to 40 burglaries including a car key burglary which took place in Lapworth.
The case covers offences committed across the West Midlands, West Mercia and Warwickshire this year.
Darren Maxwell Duffy, 22, Paul King, 24, Christopher Hands, 26, John O’Shaughnessy, 25, and Mohammed O’Neil, 19, all from the Birmingham area, are charged with conspiracy to burgle in relation to the burglary in Wharf Lane, Lapworth, in May, and an aggravated burglary in Earlswood, near Solihull, in June.
In addition Duffy, King, Hands and O’Shaughnessy have also been charged with conspiracy to commit 38 burglaries which took place between February and June and involved the targeting of affluent rural properties and high value cars. .
The hearing, taking place at the Warwickshire Justice Centre in Leamington, is for plea and case management.
