Gang used baseball bats in attack on man
POLICE are investigating an incident in Leamington in which a man was attacked by a gang of three or more people who used weapons including baseball bats.
The assault happened in Radford Road on Friday at about 8pm.
A witness tried to intervene but was threatened by one of the group with a knife before the offenders walked off towards town.
Police sub inspector Russ Marsh, who is investigating the incident, said: “This is a serious assault where the victim has sustained quite a nasty injury which has required immediate surgery.
“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or has any information which would help us with our inquiries so that the offenders can be brought to justice.”
