Healthworker has been suspended from county care home
THE trust that manages mental healthcare in Warwickshire has admitted that a healthworker been suspended following complaints.
The Courier and Weekly News was alerted to the suspension by a patient who had been treated by the worker at a care home in the county.
A spokesman for the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, which runs the home, said: “We have received a complaint about the actions of a member of staff, and our formal internal investigation procedures are underway as a result.
“The member of staff concerned has been suspended while these procedures are in place. This is a neutral act while the investigation is conducted.
“We have taken all appropriate steps to deal with this matter, which has been reported to all other appropriate agencies.
“The complaint was passed to Warwickshire Police at the earliest opportunity, and they are conducting their own investigation.”
