Cat and kittens should be found new home

The headline over the piece and photograph of the rescued cat which gave birth to three kittens on arrival at a veterinary practice is a complete misnomer (Courier June 15). The cat and her kittens should not be returned to the feckless owner who allowed an obviously pregnant animal out of the house near a busy main road.

If the owner had thought anything of the cat in the first place she’d have been speyed......was she booted out of the house when her condition was realised?

Thank goodness the rescuer had the gumption to rush her to the veterinary surgery, and now, in my opinion, the cat and her kittens should be handed over to the Mid Warwickshire Cats Protection branch where I’m sure in due time caring homes will be found for all four. - Ken Wilkins, Kennan Avenue, Leamington.
