Volunteers shouldn’t be criticised

I refer to your article about the wildlife garden at Stockton School (Courier last week)

It makes me very angry to see how people that volunteer to help with a good cause are criticised. I realise in our society you have people who are very willing to help and unfortunately the ones who sit back as in this case.

If we carry on treating volunteers in this fashion who will come forward in the future.

Mr Cameron has expounded the benefits to be gained from the “Big Society”. I do not see much of this happening in this case. - Susan Collerson, Stockton.
