Lorry incident causes traffic diversion

MOTORISTS were diverted away from the A429 Wellesbourne bypass on Friday after a trailer became detached from an articulated lorry and blocked the road.
The incident happened near the village’s fire station at around lunchtime.
The road was blocked for about two hours while a JCB and other industrial vehicles were used to remove the hazard.
