Police seek witnesses after 4x4 driver leaves scene of serious collision
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on the A423 Oxford Road between Princethorpe and Ryton at about 8.20pm on Tuesday.
The collision is believed to have happened as a motorcyclist riding a black Yamaha overtook two Ford Transit vans travelling towards Ryton on the stretch of road leading to the A445 Leamington Road roundabout.
As the motorcyclist overtook the vans, he collided with a red Dodge Avenger 4x4 vehicle travelling in the same direction.
The motorcyclist suffered a serious injury to his foot and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment.
The driver of the Dodge failed to stop at the scene and drove off towards Southam.
