Postbox stolen from village

THIEVES have stolen a postbox and its contents from Rugby Road in Weston-under-Wetherley.

The theft was reported last Thursday at 6pm and Warwickshire Police are investigating the incident.

The red metal box was situated at the junction of St Michaels Close.

Officers believe the theft could have happened between 4pm last Wednesday and 4pm the following day.

A flyer was distributed to properties in the area to appeal for information about the incident.

A similar theft took place in Temple Grafton near Stratford between Saturday September 29 and Tuesday October 2.

A postbox was removed from a small wooden post by the side of the road.

Witnesses to the Weston-under-Wetherley incident are asked to call 415000 or contact their Safer Neighbourhood Team.
