School among burglars’ targets in Leamington crime spree

A SPATE of burglaries has resulted in damage to properties and thefts from seven homes in Leamington in just a few days.

Homes were broken into in Warwick New Road on June 7, Victoria Street on June 9, Rugby Road on June 13 and in Rugby Road and Wilhelmina Close on June 14. Among items stolen were an XBox games console, electrical equipment, jewellery, a laptop, tools and bicycles.

Thieves also stole around half a metre of lead from the roof of Milverton Primary School in Greatheed Road in the early hours of June 14.

Anyone with information about any of these incidents should call police on 101.

Officers are reminding people to remain alert at all times and on the lookout for suspicious activity around their homes.
