Warwickshire Police has new face in top position

A NEW assistant chief constable for Warwickshire Police has been appointed.

Gareth Morgan, who is also assistant chief constable for the West Mercia constabulary, takes responsibility for local policing.

Assistant Chief Con Morgan, who has worked for West Midlands Police, has most recently been working as chief of staff to the president of the Association of Chief Police Officers.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining the alliance chief officer team at this most interesting of times. It will be a privilege to be working in the force area where I live.”

The decision was made by a panel which included Chief Constables David Shaw and Andy Parker, West Mercia Police Authority chairman Sheila Blagg and Warwickshire Police Authority vice chairman John Vereker.
