Woman trapped in car after crash near Wellesbourne

A WOMAN was trapped in her car for one and a half hours after a crash in Charlecote early on Saturday.
Firefighters cut the woman from her badly damaged vehicle, which was described as in a “precarious” position in a ditch after crashing into a tree and overturning on the A429 near Wellesbourne shortly before 2.15am.
The woman, who is in her 20s, had suffered cuts to her head, one of her legs and some back pain and was taken to University Hospital, Coventry on a spinal board.
Fortunately she was found to have no other serious injuries.
