Man killed in assault outside Leamington bar

A man was killed in an assault outside a Leamington bar in the early hours of Sunday morning (April 10).

At approximately 1am, an altercation was believed to have taken place between two groups of people outside the front of Moo Bar in Russell Street.

At 1.20am, a man in his twenties was then assaulted in Russell Street, sustaining serious head injuries.

Although he was taken to hospital by an ambulance, he later died as a result of his injuries.

Two 30-year-old men from Birmingham have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.
