CHILDREN made lanterns that will light up Leamington this Christmas.

The town’s lantern parade will take place on Thursday December 13 at 5.30pm, running from Pump Room Gardens to the Parade.

The Spa Centre hosted the first of a series of workshops to make the lanterns on Saturday.

Business Improvement District executive director Stephanie Kerr said: “Families and children made around 400 beautiful handmade lanterns last year, ranging from angels and Christmas trees to snowmen and animals. We want to build on the sense of community spirit and fun and invite even more people to join in.”
