See your messages from Warwick’s Show and Tell

‘Smile’ and ‘Free ice cream on Thursdays’ are some of the messages penned by visitors to the Museums at Night event in Warwick in May as part of a banners-making activity.

And now all the banners, which were created on the night with the help of artist Alex Hartley, are going on display at the Market Hall Museum for the weekend (July 26 and 27).

Anyone who made a placard and would like to take it home can do so over the weekend.

Visitors will also be able to make some bunting to be sent to Compton Verney near Kineton and contributed towards the gallery’s world record attempt to create the longest length of bunting.

The Museums at Night took place in Warwick town centre as part of the Great Warwickshire Show and Tell festival to celebrate what the county has to offer. Market Hall Museum was one of four venues in the UK to win the Museums at Night Connect 10 programme, supported by Alex Hartley, who worked on the arts side of the 2012 Olympic Games.
