'˜Sexual predator' from Leamington jailed for 15 years for string of offences

A Leamington man who committed child sex offences and groomed young girls over a period of at least ten years has been jailed today (Friday).

Andrew Pykett, aged 38 and of Clarendon Avenue, Leamington, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to 38 child sex offences and two drug offences at an earlier hearing at Warwick Crown Court.

He pleaded guilty to 20 counts of sexual activity with a child (four counts of sexual touching, 16 counts of penetration), seven counts of meeting a child following sexual grooming, two counts of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming, one count of trafficking within the UK for sexual exploitation, one count of taking indecent photographs of a child (category A), two counts of making indecent photographs of a child (category A), two counts of making indecent photographs of a child www.somethingsnotright.org for more information about child sexual exploitation.
