Javelin, sack races, dogde ball, egg-and-spoon races and archery were among the activities people could try out at the Warwickshire Association of Youth Club’s (WAYC) Fun Day in Leamington on Tuesday.

More than 100 people spent time at the event, which also incorporated a tenants’ roadshow run by the district council and was jointly organised by WAYC, the council, volunteers from Myton church and Active South Leamington, with some funding for a barbecue from Morrisons.

WAYC fundraiser Jane Puzey said: “The atmosphere was fantastic. It was a celebration event in the community and it was lovely to see so much activity in Ford’s Field.”
