Almost £17,000 was raised in just four hours at the Myton Hospices’ summer fete at the Warwick hospice on Sunday.
Hundreds of people spent time at the event, which was hosted by volunteers running stalls selling clothes, gifts, toys and refreshments. There was also an auction, music, dancing, donkey rides, games and the chance to get up close to snakes, reptiles and owls - not to forget a barbecue, cream teas, a Pimms tent and bar.
Myton’s events manager Sarah Stallard said: “It was a fantastic day. A huge thank you to everyone who supported it.”
The fete was sponsored by the Britannia Squab Group in Leamington.
