Captain Cook, Peter Pan, Lego pieces and farm animals were among the outlandish characters people at this year’s Harbury Carnival may have come across as the event took over the village once again last Saturday afternoon.
Around 1,000 people went along to the annual event, which raised an estimated £2,000 for village causes and featured inventive floats parading through Harbury and a variety of stalls, games and entertainment.
Carnival committee chairman John Broomfield said: “It was another great day with wonderful weather. We had five floats, including a Captain Hook Pirate float, which was very, very well done - a lot of work had gone into it.
“The dog shows are always everybody’s favourite and this year’s were just as impressive as usual.”
