Spate of break-ins across Warwick District

Over the last week seven properties across Kenliworth, Leamington, Warwick and Rowington have been broken into.

The first break-in (incident number 197 of March 4) happened some time between February 18 and March 2 at a home in Kenliworth.

During these dates someone entered an insecure rear garden of a home in Purlieu Lane and then gained access to an insecure shed.

After searching the shed the offenders made off with a bicycle.

The second incident (incident number 255 of March 3) happened at some point during 2.20pm and 3.20pm on Friday March 3.

The offenders smashed a ground floor window at a home in Foxes Way.

After gaining access they then entered the house and searched the premises and then made off with a quantity of cash as well as a watch.

Another Warwick home was broken into during March 3 (incident number 252 of March 2).

At around 3.20pm someone attempted to break into a property in Dickins Road.

The offenders tried gaining access through a kitchen window but failed to get in.

A third property in Warwick was also broken into on the same night (incident number 217 of March 3)

At around 3pm offenders forced open a rear door of a home in Verden Avenue.

After gaining access, the noise the offenders made disturbed the resident, who then called out and the offenders then fled the property empty handed.

The fifth incident (incident number 61 of March 7) happened in Rowington on March 4.

Just after 1am two people entered the grounds of a home in Finwood Road.

The pair then used a garden tool to force off a lock off a detached workshop.

Once inside they searched the workshop but left empty handed.

Another break-in happened on March 5 at a home in Leamington (incident number 2 of March 5).

At some point between 2.40am and 5am on thieves broke into a house on Waller Street.

The intruders gained access to the house through an unsecure back door.

Once inside they grabbed an Ipad mini, a jacket and a set of car keys, which they then used to steal a Renault Clio from the driveway.

Another home in Leamington was also broken into on March 5 (incident number 335 of March 5).

At around 8pm offenders broke into a home in Park Road through the rear patio door.

Once they were inside they took a fob thinking it was a car key and made off up Kenilworth Drive.

The fob was later found on the driveway of the property.

Police are continuing to warn residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity.
