A 30-day fitness challenge - designed to work every major muscle group of the body - has been devised by South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust’s physiotherapy team to help their colleagues across the trust improve their physical health.

The team have also produced an accompanying video to demonstrate the correct form. The video provides exercise variations, meaning the challenge can be tailored to benefit people with a range of fitness levels.

In the run-up to the launch day, August 1 - which was national Workout at Work Day, staff across the trust signed up to the challenge, including chief executive Glen Burley and director of nursing Helen Lancaster. Warwick and Leamington MP Chris White also signed up to the challenge to improve his own fitness.

Helen Lancaster said: “It’s important for our staff to look after their own health and wellbeing so they are well and able to care for our patients.”
