A group of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers have helped clean-up a stretch of the River Avon as part of their community efforts for the start of the year.

James Elson, group leader of 2nd Warwick Scouts, said some of the youngsters donned rubber gloves and cleared tons of rubbish into large plastic bags.

Scout leaders also took the opportunity of checking the group’s bouyancy aides ahead of the coming boating season.
