Psychedelic camper vans, yellow submarines, flowers and the faces of rock ‘n’ roll icons the Beatles were among the items from the 60s which the pupils placed on the roundabout in Sydenham Drive this week.

The display, supported by County Councillor Matt Western who helped set it up, serves as a prelude to a day marking 50 years since the first houses of the Sydenham estate were built on a farm site in 1964.
