Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Wellesbourne in which thieves attempted to break in to a cash dispenser using an electric saw.
The incident happened at the Co-op in Loxley Close at about 12.15am on Sunday.
Up to three people are believed to have been involved.
The saw would have made a great deal of noise and police would like to hear from anyone who was aware of anything suspicious taking place in the car park area of the Co-op shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between midnight and 12.30am.
The thieves were unsuccessful but left the machine damaged.
