James and Laura Maclellan, who live in Hathaway Drive, which is on the Woodloes, are taking on a mammoth task of completing four Wolf Runs this year to raise money to help with the costs of their son’s necessary health care equipment.

Ethan, who is two and a half years old, was diagnosed with an underdeveloped brain shortly after he was born in September 2014.

Since then, Ethan has needed regular treatment and specialised equipment to support him.

James and Laura are getting ready to take part in their first Wolf Run, which will take place on April 8 at Welsh Road Farm in Offchurch.

Both Laura and James have sustained injuries from training for the upcoming event but they are both determined to get around the course,

Laura said: “Our first Wolf Run is in April and training is proving to be difficult as I have hurt my hip and James has hurt his knee. But we will be there on the day to run or walk it.

“I’m sure we will be fine as there will be 15 of us doing the April wolf.”

The Maclellan family launched an appeal in November asking for people to join them on their summer Wolf Run to try and raise as much money as possible to pay for equipment Ethan will need in the future,

Laura said: “The next run is the summer Wolf Run on June 3 and so far there’s 65 of us signed up to run that event so that one should be lots of fun.

“If anyone wants to join us for one or more of the wolf runs please email James on [email protected] and if anyone would like to donate money please go to team Ethan’s fundraising page.”
