Woman rugby player injured in Warwick match

A woman who suffered an injury during a rugby match in Warwick was rescued by the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance yesterday (Sunday).

Old Leamingtonians Ladies player Milly Carter was involved in a scrum when she suffered a back injury. It is believed that the 23-year-old sprained her back.

The crew arrived at the scene at just after 3pm and Milly was airlifted to the University Hospital in Coventry.

The Old Leamingtonians Ladies reported that she has suffered no long term damage from her injury and left hospital later that afternoon.
