Young woman assaulted by two men in Leamington

Warwickshire Police are appealing for independent witnesses after a young woman was assaulted by two men in the Old Town area of Leamington last Thursday.

The victim, 22, sustained serious facial and head injuries for which she received treatment at a walk-in surgery.

She had been doing relief work and does not know the town very well, but it is believed that the offence had took place in area of All Saints’ parish church, High Street, Althorpe Street and Court Street between the hours of 10.30pm and midnight.

Her attackers have been described as a white man, aged between 20 and 30 with short blond hair and wearing dark clothing and the other of mixed race with a slim build and tall in height.

He had short hair which was shaved on the sides and long on top.
