Shrewley schoolgirl Amy Jones has received backing from a dolphin campaign group in her hunt for a publisher to print her book.
The eight-year-old's stories are about Dolphy, a dolphin who, with his friends Surf and Wave, has magic powers to stop disasters such as oil slicks and marine litter. The book Dolphy Saves the Planet Bit by Bit was illustrated by her 14-year-old friend Sophie Stevens from Solihull.
Amy hopes that selling her book will raise money for the Marine Conservation Society to fund projects to protect animals in the wild. She is looking for someone to print her book free of charge so that any money raised can go towards helping her favourite creatures.
