Elderly man on scooter is robbed

An elderly man was robbed and had his wallet taken while riding his mobililty scooter in Warwick on Tuesday.
After stopping the man on Emscote Road just before 3.45pm and searching through his bags, the thief is reported to have reached into the man's pockets looking for his wallet.

When the man tried to resist, a scuffle developed and on-lookers came to help the elderly man.

A 51-year-old man was arrested and is currently being questioned on suspicion of robbery.
