A lot of effort was put into making the recent spring fair at Warwick Girls Band a success.
More stalls were organised by the supporters committee, and a larger than usual number of helpers were welcomed to help.

Many of the girl members helped to run stalls before dashing off to change and play in the musical display.

The only clou
d on the day was the cloudburst. A very poor forecast proved to be wrong in the morning, and several people ignored it to set up car boot pitches at 8am, while in the afternoon a welcome number of people turned up before the rain to have a go on the various tombolas and sideshows.

The youngsters in the B band then entertained them before the new music was played by the older girls.

Combined with the pitch money from the car booters, a total of over £600 has been added to the band's coffers.

This has already been earmarked to provide some new instruments to allow the girls to reach their full potential.

The weekly Sunday car boot sales are still continuing, so go along any Sunday at 8am to run a stall, or find some bargains.

The tarmac parade ground provides the perfect surface in damp conditions for a car boot – no mud or grass to deal with.

All this support is really appreciated, as it will help the band to continue to perform and entertain the people of Warwick for another year.
