Dozens of parents and youngsters watched as two new Warwick children's centres were launched on Friday.
Warwick and Leamington MP James Plaskitt officially opened the venues at the town's Westgate and Newburgh primary schools which will offer activities and advice to parents with children under five.
Refreshments, face painting and games were among the entertainment on offer to celebrate the occasion after Mr Plaskitt cut the ribbon.
He said: "Children’s centres quickly become the heart of the local community. Parenting isn’t easy and these centres provide just the right kind of support parents are looking for. They combine very early education for toddlers with support and advice."
The venues, which are often attached to schools, are government funded and run with support from partner organisations including Job Centre Plus and Children First.
The scheme has cost £6.5 million across Warwickshire since 2006. Eight centres in Warwick district include the new sites in Bowling Green Street and Kipling Avenue, Warwick as well as some in Sydenham, Leamington and Lighthorne Heath.
Mr Plaskitt added: "Our two new centres will enable many more parents to ensure that their children get the best possible start in life, while they also gain access to essential advice and support.”
Warwickshire county councillor responsible for young people and families Izzi Seccombe said: "We are very excited about the opening of this split-site centre which is well equipped and ideally positioned to meet the needs of Warwick families. Staff have worked really hard to get everything ready for the opening and to ensure the centres will deliver high quality service with local children and their families in mind."
