Helping the community is the aim of a new church which will hold its first service in Warwick on April 6.
Open House, set up by Jeremy and Jo Bray - pictured right - has been running as a group of friends meeting in each other’s homes for a year, and will hold its first meeting at the Gap community centre at 10.30am.

The meetings include practical talks from the Bible, a chance to talk and worship together and also a creche and children’s groups.

Mrs Bray said she and her husband hoped to attract a cross-section of people, but that young families often found their style of worship welcoming.

She added: “Essentially a church should be about people enjoying God and enjoying each other’s company on Sundays and throughout the week. Our aim is to gather a group of people who can serve the community and help people who need helping.”
