Review: Jethro, Spa Centre, Leamington, October 26.
A packed Spa Centre enjoyed the ever-popular Jethro last Monday night.

The controversial Cornish comedian had his audience in stitches with his lewd stories and dirty jokes and it seemed the cruder he got the more laughter he provoked.

This show was definitely not for the easily offended, but it was certainly funny.

The comedy was frequently broken by poignant moments when the trained opera singer broke into song and held his audience spellbound with his fantastic voice.

He was ably supported by the vocalist Shaun Perry, and the pair rounded off the evening with a lovely duet.

It was a great show, but the content was a lot more than just near the knuckle and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to someone of a timid nature!

Morris Troughton

Verdict: A tad on the blue side.
