Striker Robbie Beard has signed for Leamington.
The 29-year-old has switched from Southern League Premier Division Brackley Town.

Beard, who joined free-spending Brackley Town at start of this season, scored in their last match, a 6-0 win over Cheshunt on January 5.

He previously had a long spell at Rugby Town and has also played for Bedworth United.

Brakes boss Jason Cadden said: "It's a great signing and it's good to have him here."

"He's got great pedigree: he's a goalscorer, he makes a nuisance of himself in the penalty area and he's a bit of a terrier. He will work hard for us."

"He's played at a high level on the non-league scene. It's a smashing capture at this stage of the season."

Beard told the club website: "It was a difficult decision to leave a club I love but although a couple of clubs showed an interest, once Leamington came in for me there was only one place I wanted to go."

"The set-up here is fantastic - it's all geared up for success and I want to be a part of that."

"I want to win medals and believe I can do that here."

"I've got four or five years left in me and want that to be with Leamington. I want to finish my career here."
