Tuesday's Southern League play-off semi-final looks like being the biggest match yet played at the New Windmill.
Division One Midlands runners-up Leamington took the title race to the wire and knocked three higher-league sides out of the FA Trophy in another season to savour.

They are now just two games away from their biggest prize yet - a return to he Southern League Premier Division after more than 20 years.

Brakes' reward for finishing second behind champions Evesham United is home advantage against the team finishing fifth (April 29, 7.45pm). That won't be settled until the final round of games on Saturday.

Win that game and they will be at home again in the final next Saturday.

Manager Jason Cadden said: "I don't mind who we play. It's good to be at home, but whoever we get will give us a tough game."

"It will be a massive night for everyone involved at the club. It's something new to us, but we'll prepare properly and we'll be ready."

"We'll go out there with confidence because we're in decent form - we've only lost twice in the league since December."

He added: "We've been there before and said 'this is the biggest game in the club's history', but this one is massive."

"Over the last few years we've had some great achievements, but if we can get through this one it will be tremendous."

"The lads have had a great season and barring a couple of results we would have won it.Now we've got another chance and we have to make sure we don't cock it up."

The New Windmill has been graded at D, which means it meets the standard for Southern League Division One Midlands (step four).

Should Brakes be promoted, they will have until March 31 2009 to meet the standard for grade C, which will entail increasing the capacity from 1,975 to 2,000 (with potential to reach 3,000 in the future) and having 250 seats under cover in not more than two stands.

The next board meeting takes place on May 7. The play-offs will be complete by then, allowing directors to plan for next season.

Brakes' final league game is away to relegated Berkhamsted Town on Saturday (April 26, 3pm).
