Jason Cadden says the pressure is on Chasetown to play catch-up after Brakes' 2-0 win over the Scholars this week
The manager said: "It was a great effort and it puts us back on track after a disappointing draw. We're top again and I'm very pleased with that response."

"It was a really good game of football and the best team on the night won it."

Some fans saw the result as a key moment in the title race. Cadden rejects such talk.

"It's too soon for that. We just know we've got to keep going. We've got 16 games left and we have to approach them as 16 cup finals."

"We showed at Chasetown how we can play and if we keep that up we will be a tough nut to crack."

"We'll give ourselves a good chance if we can get to the last ten games on top."

He added: "We've put the pressure back on Chasetown a bit. They have to win all four of their games in hand to go above us."

"But remember that Evesham and Aylesbury are both still there too."

New strikers Robbie Beard and Keith Rostill are settling in well and Jamie Towers has impressed since his permanent return from Nuneaton Borough.

"I'm absolutely delighted that JT is back with us permanently - it feels like a brand new signing," Cadden said.

"I was gutted when he decided to leave in the summer."

He added: "Ben (Mackey] was also outstanding at Chasetown. People forget he's only 20 - he carries a lot on his shoulders and he's doing well for us."
