Leamington won at soggy Cinderford on Saturday to close the gap on leaders Evesham to six points.
Jason Cadden's side, who have a game in hand on the wobbling Robins, came from behind in the Forest of Dean to claim the Southern League Division One Midlands spoils.
Both sides tried to play the ball on the ground, despite the sticky pitch. For Leamington Ben Mackey saw a powerful shot on the turn blocked out for a corner, from which Stuart Herlihy headed wide.
The home side took the lead, somewhat against the run of play, when Jamie Addis swept the ball in from close range on 27 minutes.
Brakes did not let their heads drop and drew level within three minutes. James Husband's attempted cross was blocked, but fell at the feet of Parisi, who sent the ball into the penalty area.
Mackey was on his own, just behind the crowd, and he had time and space to pick his spot for a slightly deflected equaliser.
Cinderford finished the half strongly and should have gone in front again when too much space was afforded down the left wing, but Ben Gascoyne side-footed wide when he had only Richard Morris to beat from Ben Davies' cross.
The home side threatened Morris's goal early in the second half, but Brakes were in determined mood. They went in front on 55 minutes.
Marcus Jackson received the ball in space out on the right and he shaped to send in a cross. Whether he meant to hit it towards the back post, only he knows, but it looped over the keeper's head and dropped into the far corner.
Robbie Beard was introduced in place of Herlihy as Brakes went in search of more goals and he went close with a strong run and shot, but it was that man Jackson who set up the third.
He beat two men down the right, charged in from the dead ball line and threaded a pass into the middle of the area for Mackey to slot home.
Cinderford were nearly handed a lifeline when Morris failed to claim the ball after rushing off his line. Martin Hier was on hand to clear off the line.
At the other end, Mackey's quick footwork created space for a shot, but he curled it just over the bar.
Gascoyne saw a shot blocked for Cinderford, as he charged across the area looking for an opening, but it was Leamington who looked the more likely in the closing stages.
Tassell denied Mackey his treble when he finger tipped the striker's rasping free kick on to the post, and Guy Sanders saw another shot from a similar position whistle past the far post.
