James Husband was named player of the year at Leamington's end-of-season presentation.
The 23-year-old midfielder received the trophy from former Brakes manager Graham Allner in a ceremony at the New Windmill last Friday.

Husband, who joined the club as a left-sided player in December 2005, has successfully adapted to a central midfield role.

He made 31 starts in 2007-08 and had 12 further appearances as a substitute, scoring eight goals. The play-off final defeat against Stourbridge was his 100th match for Brakes.

Goalkeeper Richard Morris picked up the players' player award and striker Ben Mackey received the manager's player.

Guy Sanders was honoured for picking up the most man-of-the-match nominations in the club's website match reports.

The defender also received the supporters' club Matt Blunt award for an outstanding contribution.

Keith Hancock is to step down as chairman of the Leamington FC Supporters Club after a final push to raise funds for the Harbury Lane End terracing at the New Windmill.

A lifelong fan of the club, Hancock is to become Brakes' new welfare officer for next season. Before then he hopes to persuade fans to make £20 pledges in aid of the terracing.

All fans who pledge money will be photographed on the new terrace when work is complete for a commemorative picture.

Sunday Car boot sales will be held at the ground on June 1 and June 15. Contact Keith Hancock on 07970 577336.
