The roughly 66-mile, 27,000ft circuit of 42 of the highest peaks in the Lake District sees runners try and recreate Graham’s 1932 route within 24 hours.

Scandrett had been travelling up to the Lake District for the best part of a year to scout out the best routes for each section and his preparations paid off with him joining an elite band of runners who have successfully come home in under 24 hours.

“I am very proud to say that I have joined an elite group of people who have completed the Bob Graham Round,” said Scandrett.

“Massive thanks have to go out to Stewart Underhill, Stephen Chalkley, Adam Maynard and Sheela Hobden for running with me.

“Also to Simon Mottershead, Stef Lunn, Richard Broadbent and Jayne Mumford for covering the road support.”
