A busy 14 hours for Cleary’s ABC fighter Myles Vale saw him move into the Uni Box Boxing Rings Central Belts final, celebrate with a night out and then run sub-40 minutes for the Regency 10k.

Vale overcame the previously unbeaten Akeem Ennis-Brown, overpowering the Factory ABC boxer in the opening round before being docked a point in the second for illegal use of his head.

Ennis-Brown suffered a points deduction of his own in the third round after his repeated holding fell foul of the referee and Vale re-established his control to set up a final meeting with Walsall Wood’s Dan Breeze.

Vale went on to Smack nightclub in Leamington where he underlined his stamina by staying out until 2am and then rising seven hours later to complete the Regency Run in 39:56.

Dan Quartermaine received a bye in the Warwickshire round of the Junior ABA Championships and will now move into the Midlands round.
